Daniel grew up on the East Coast of Canada in a small town in the Province of New Brunswick. Daniel has had a strong interest in caring for both humans and animals from a young age and he volunteered every day after school at his local animal hospital.
Daniel left Canada, bound for Australia where he volunteered at a koala sanctuary in Brisbane, before commencing study at University of Queensland’s veterinary science program the following year.
After graduating with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2007, Daniel spent 10 years in a busy, small animal general practice. This is where he found an interest in diagnostic imaging, especially Sonology. He then spent 3 years as the veterinary director of two of Brisbane’s emergency and critical care centres before moving into his current role as professional services veterinarian with IDEXX. He is excited and passionate about helping clinics reach their diagnostic goals and increase standards of care throughout the veterinary industry.
In his time off, Daniel likes spending time exploring the back roads of Australia on his Harley, spending time with his wife and children, and looking after his eclectic collection of rescued and previously injured pets that are now considered part of the family.
