Sarah Helmond


Sarah Helmond is a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2001 and spent 5 years in general practice before moving to the USA for a residency in Internal Medicine. After completing a residency at the University of Minnesota Sarah joined the faculty of Cornell University for a clinical research fellowship into coagulation disorders in dogs.

Sarah has worked in private specialty practice in California and Sydney. She currently is a medicine specialist at VRH in Melbourne and an internal medicine consultant for Idexx Laboratories. She has a particular interest in immune-mediated disease (especially IMHA and ITP) and coagulation abnormalities.
