Samara Blake

BSc, CertIV VN, DipECC, VTS

After completing a Bachelor of Animal Science, Samara decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a veterinary nurse and has been working in the industry for the past 19 years. She has worked in various general practices and emergency centres in both Australia and the UK. In 2013, she became a Veterinary Technician Specialist through the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians and Nurses. For 10 years she worked as a senior nurse in the emergency and critical care service at the University of Melbourne, UVet. Currently, she works for Melbourne Polytechnic lecturing to students completing a Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing degree which runs in partnership with Latrobe University. She has a clinical roles at VRH (Dandenong) and is currently a board member for the VNCA and a committee member for the VNCA Victorian division. She owns one silly fur baby - Harry the Ginger cat.
